Hong Kong has a variety of museums that are near all of the other sights to see in Hong Kong . You will not have to travel far from Ocean Terminal and Harbour City to find great museums. Everyone should visit museums in different cities to get an idea of the history and culture of the city and country. The Hong Kong Space Museum has the largest planetarium in the world. The museum offers exhibits on astronomy and space technology in Hong Kong and the world. They also have an Omnimax theater and Sky shows that run throughout the day.
The Hong Kong Racing Museum features the rise and popularity of horseracing in Hong Kong . The museum is also home to the Hong Kong Jockey Club. Horseracing in Hong Kong began in the 1840's and has since been revolutionized in Hong Kong . There is not a lot of space for racetracks and farms in Hong Kong , so the racecourses have become very hi-tech. The most amazing exhibit in the museum explains how the Sha Tin Racecourse was built on land that was reclaimed from the sea.
